Arielle Haze, Co-Owner & Officiant

I was born and raised in South Florida, and moved to Los Angeles, California in late 2003! I spent my childhood going to weddings with my dad, an at-the-time world-famous Wedding Officiant! Upon entering high school, I delved into my passion of photography, and shot my first wedding at age 16. Over the next few years, I honed my skill as a photographer; and, upon college graduation, I began shooting weddings and events on a regular basis!

In 1999, I achieved my notary public commission from the state of Florida, followed in 2002 by my Ministry Certification from the Universal Life Church. I could now perform weddings, and that was a very exciting prospect!

In February 2004, a friend flew me back to Florida to photograph her wedding; but, unfortunately, her Officiant never showed up (she was stuck in traffic)! I was the only person available who was legally allowed to perform the ceremony; so, with laughter and professionalism, I officiated and photographed the wedding at the same time! One of my best wedding memories to date!

Though I am still available for Los Angeles area weddings, these days, I am living out in Morongo Valley (Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms area); and, I hope to officiate your beautiful desert wedding next. Let’s make another amazing memory!

John B: After 8.5 years together, my partner and I were finally able to get married! We live in a state without marriage equality, but had plans to be in California and decided to get married while there. We looked into a courthouse civil ceremony, but decided we wanted something a little more personal. We looked into our options, and got in touch with LA Wedding Woman based on their super reviews and great website. Best decision ever.

Even with very short notice (about 4 days), they set us up with Arielle, who got in touch with us immediately to work out the details. All communication beforehand was outstanding. Arielle’s kind and supportive demeanor radiated through every email.

On the big day, Arielle showed up right on time, and was just as lovely in person. It felt like we’d known her for years. She was professional while being warm and comforting, and led an incredibly beautiful ceremony (we went with the “I Do” ceremony). Our guests were also very impressed with her, all commenting afterwards about how well she officiated and how lovely her words were.

The day was going to be special no matter what, but Arielle made it so much moreso. I can’t recommend her enough!

Lindsay W: It has been three months since our wedding, and we are STILL getting compliments about our officiant, Arielle Haze!

When looking for an officiant, our biggest concern was that we would hire someone who was cheesy or delivered a cookie cutter wedding package. Arielle exceeded all of our expectations. She officiated our wedding with warmth and sincerity that all of our guests felt and appreciated.

In the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, she was more than happy to answer all of our questions and craft the perfect language for us. Our ceremony was very heartfelt and conveyed exactly what my husband and I feel for one another. What more can you ask for? Thank you, Arielle!

Noel R: Arielle was a blessing to work with. Right from the beginning she was very enthusiastic about our wedding, getting to know us and paying attention to what we wanted. Her attitude was always full of positive energy.

Arielle drove out to our city to meet us which was really appreciated. We also liked that she was willing to work with any denomination and was adamant about making sure the ceremony was customized to exactly what we wanted. In fact we ended up doing a hybrid Vietnamese-American wedding and during the ceremony we served tea. To our surprise Arielle had already officiated weddings that included tea ceremonies. She was on the ball and had tons of suggestions to personalize it to what we wanted.

When we were writing our vows she gave us pre-written vows that we could use if we wanted. We decided to make our own completely but the pre-written versions were beautifully written and I’m pretty sure we’d be crying if we read them instead!

We were late to get started and our guests were kept waiting 45 minutes in the hot sun. Arielle did a great job keeping the guests calm and at bay by updating them of the situation at key moments and with great coordination with our DJ. During the ceremony Arielle’s voice was strong but peaceful. She did a great job of keeping our crowd captivated with positive energy and enthusiasm. One thing that really stood out to me was mid-way in the ceremony someone made a comment that could have been mis-interpreted and Arielle quickly stood up to the microphone and turned it into a joke and made the crown laugh alleviating a moment that could have been awkward.

After the ceremony Arielle reminded the crowd to blow their bubbles, which was wonderful and well timed. We were of course quickly whisked away by family and friends and then by our photographers. Arielle patiently waited almost an hour to sign our marriage license with us. We were really grateful for that.

Overall Arielle did a wonderful job. She was very enthusiastic and paid attention to what we wanted. Better yet she delivered. I can’t find a single thing i would like her to improve, and that includes her price which is pretty tough to beat, especially considering the quality of her service. Thanks LA wedding woman!

Rebecca: My husband and I were married by Arielle, yesterday. I had been searching for someone that was down to earth, not showy or flashy, and who just “got us”. I’m so glad I found her!! She is great and so thorough. If you want someone to officiate your wedding who will actually care about what you say and who isn’t like a used car salesman, then Arielle is your girl. She’s as real and genuine as they come. And she helped us have the best day ever!!

Amir: Arielle was AMAZING! She had more energy than we did. honestly i didn’t know what to expect but she was very professional and fun to have as our justice of peace. and here is the kicker, i called her friday afternoon and she made it all happen the next day satrurday 1pm right on the dot.

Hillary: Arielle was amazing! She helped us through customizing our ceremony and vows and totally saved the day at our rehearsal when our wedding coordinator at the site didn’t show up until late and did not plan or lead any of the rehearsal. Arielle took over for me with little to no direction and was able to pull it all together seamlessly! My family and wedding party thought she was the wedding coordinator, she was so organized and a natural leader. She was so thoughtful to help me include a video camera recording the ceremony in an empty chair in honor of my grandparents that could not make it to my wedding from the East coast.

Jennifer: Arielle Haze is one of the most accomplished women we have ever met. We had a non-denom ceremony, and Arielle was so perfect for us. She has done so much in her life, because she is extremely intelligent and efficient. She comes form a long line of officiants, and knows exactly what to do. She reminded us of things that we would have never thought of. She is extremely well versed in California marriage laws, and the benefits of each. She is the reason that my husband and I are a legal couple, and she did it flawlessly. We could not have asked for a better gift than such a bright personality joining us together.

Tiffany: Arielle was the officiant to our super small wedding ceremony. She did a fantastic job the day of! Also did a great job of being reassuring in the days and months leading up to the special day. Every time I had questions or was freaking out Arielle would respond in a timely manner. Just talking for a sec would calm me down. At the ceremony she was very friendly with the very few guests in attendance. One important thing I didn’t think of until I watched the video was her voice. Loud enough and not… irritating at all :). Seems silly but half of the talking through the ceremony will be the officiant… pick Arielle!

Oh and Emily was great too! We only spoke a couple of times however she was always able to help! Thank you ladies so much.

Michael: My partner and I had decided to get married at the courthouse. Upon finding out that they only performed ceremonies on Thursday and Friday, I searched the net to find a Justice of the Peace. I stumbled across LAWeddingWoman and am so glad I did. Arielle married us this past Monday. Though I had only communicated with her via phone and email, I immediately felt at ease when I met her in person. Her vibrancy and joy were immediately apparent. We did the Quick I Do. I knew there would be no pomp and circumstance but still invited 6 friends to witness. We got married recently and had the pleasure of working with Arielle Haze. My husband and I looked at MANY officiants and none quite fit our expectations until we found Arielle. She is amazing, smart, fun, and very nice to work with. She was easy to reach, always returned calls and emails promptly. Shaun: When tasked to do a quick marriage, you can make your way to the grubby court house or have Arielle make it seem like it was planned for years. The last time I was faced with this situation, I called on her services to do the big service. She was patient in answering all questions. On the big day, she spoke eloquently, briefly, and non-denominationally. She huddled the witnesses around to create the feeling of intimacy and transformed a public park into a statement of love against all odds … and timelines! 5 stars for the LA Wedding Woman – Justice Of The Peace Of The Year.

Joseph: Our intention was to interview three potential presiders. But one meeting with Arielle and we looked at each other and said, “Let’s not waste time–she’s the best.” And she was. My bride was a bundle of nerves on the wedding day and Arielle took her by the hand and made her unforgettable rather than nonplussed. I wish I could show you some photos of how the beautiful event unfolded. Arielle managed our ceremony with just the perfect amount of energy at every step, and in encouraging us to write our own vows, she made the ceremony more memorable than any prelate could. We both LOVED ARIELLE, and anyone who is thinking about her as a presider/celebrant is on the right track for sure!

CoCo: Arielle made our wedding perfect! When we decided to elope to LA, we knew we would need to plan the entire event online. First and foremost, we had to find an officiant. We looked over the various websites that came up from the search and we quickly decided on Arielle. There was just something about her that made her stand out from the rest.

After we decided to hire Arielle to marry us, we saw that she’s a wedding photographer as well. So, we also hired her to take some photos of us directly after she performed the ceremony (see review under Arielle Haze Photography).

We are very familiar with LA, so we had a few wedding locations in mind. After e-mailing with Arielle and telling her what we were looking for in a location, she had her own recommendation. In the end, we took a chance and went with Arielle’s location even though we had never been there before. We were so glad we did! The location was exactly what we were looking for!

As for the ceremony, we had NO IDEA what we wanted her to say other than, “I now pronounce you husband and wife.” We honestly didn’t know what to do for the rest of the ten minutes. But, Arielle took care of all of it. She e-mailed her standard service to us as a baseline to start from. Then, after one phone conversation, we had a completely scripted service that was perfect for us. She was very adept at customizing the ceremony to meet our needs, wishes, and personalities.

So, yes, we would highly recommend The LA Wedding Woman to anyone.
