Los Angeles (July 9, 2013) – Local wedding company LA Wedding Woman is celebrating an entire day of marriage equality by officiating weddings for couples of every lifestyle for only $200 on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the beautiful Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, CA and invites the community to join in on the celebration.
“We, like so many, have always supported and believed in marriage equality – even before it was first legalized in California in 2008, “says Elysia Skye, co-owner of LA Wedding Woman. “We celebrate love in every form and want to give the gift of a beautiful garden wedding ceremony to every couple in a very affordable way. This community has waited far too long for the equal opportunity to become legally married.”

LA Wedding Woman and the Sportsmen’s Lodge is offering every couple the opportunity to get married at the stunning north garden of the Sportsmen’s Lodge event center in Studio City. Each wedding package includes a private 15-20 minute wedding ceremony for up to 30 guests, photography in which each couple will receive digital prints, and light beverages and dessert in the Starlight room of the lodge for a shared reception. The entire wedding package is available for only $200 and is valued at over $3,000.

LA Wedding Woman will also officiate a “Quick I Do” for $100 to those who want to become legally married but may not desire a formal ceremony. Bilingual officiants are also available if preferred. Past same-sex clients of LA Wedding Woman are invited to receive their legal signing for free.
LA Wedding Woman’s Elysia Skye, is a certified mobile notary, meaning that if you were unable to get to the courthouse to obtain your marriage license, LA Wedding Woman will provide you with a license and notarization for your wedding ceremony. They carry a limited number of marriage licenses so you are encouraged to call ahead for this service.

Marriage equality is something LA Wedding Woman has supported for many years. After the recent Supreme Court rulings on DOMA and Proposition 8, LA Wedding Woman noticed that while same-sex marriage is now accepted in California, many couples were unable to obtain a marriage license from local courthouses due to the RRCC operating hours. LA Wedding Woman is one of the few mobile notaries in L.A. that can issue licenses.

On Monday, July 1, LA Wedding Woman officiated marriage ceremonies for free outside the BeverlyHills and Van Nuys courthouse to any couple that wanted to become legally married right away. They performed over 30 marriages that day to couples that had been in committed relationships – some for over 20, 30 and 40 years.

LA Wedding Woman will be officiating weddings from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m on July 14, 2013. All couples can call 323-682-8697 (VOWS) or go online to www.laweddingwoman.com to make their wedding reservation. Last minute reservations are welcome!
